AOD Counseling and Treatment

After an appropriate screening, the UCC can provide short-term, individual counseling to address your use of alcohol and/or other drugs. A counselor can work with you to stay motivated, set goals, plan for recovery, prevent relapse, develop coping skills, address social influences, and provide education on how drugs are affecting your body. Working with a counselor can help you develop the strategies and skills necessary to resolve problem drinking and/or drug use.

When appropriate, we may also make referrals to other campus or community resources.  Many AOD abusers can benefit from intensive outpatient programs and residential treatment.
